Here are some things I have learned recently:

politics is not fun to discuss with people who do not share your point of view on things, and there ARE people that you know and are friends with who hold different political views.  It is very similar to discussing religion.  It's weird.

I learned how the moon phases work. This blew my mind. Like, I feel like a total idiot because I always thought that somehow, the earth's shadow on the moon was what caused part of it to be dark. This seems like something even little kids probably understand, now that I figured it out. The teacher probably thought everyone already knew this and it was pointless even to teach it, but my mind was being blown away.
